Love, Lobster, & ... Groupon?

Because Valentine's Day and our Anniversary are so close to each other we decided that we should each be in charge of one "event". This year I was in charge of Valentine's Day and Derrald will be planning our Anniversary (March 22nd).

I am going to be honest, I don't love lobster. Although, I don't hate it either. I guess you could say I tolerate it. Now, considering the price tag that usually comes alongside our crustacean friends, it is possible to make the argument that lobster is a complete waste when spent on me. But Derrald loves lobster. He also loves a good deal. Enter one of our favorite addictions: groupon.

Earlier in the year we found a lobster deal on groupon and of course, purchased it. We have also purchased a TV, a dehumidifier, foot massages, back massages, a fan, spoons, restaurant deals, frozen yogurt deals and a mattress... obsessed much? Anyway, instead of whipping up some elaborate, romantic meal in the sweet comfort of our own home I decided to forgo the washing up this year and satisfy myself through the joy of my husband by giving him both lobster and a deal.

The meals were actually very large and an exceptionally good deal. We each got a cup of soup, half a lobster, a side of pasta, a drink and a plate of desserts. It wasn't the fanciest meal but it was fun.

The "restaurant" was more of a "food court" in the bottom of a shopping mall, attached to a supermarket... it was kind of cute.

We got THREE desserts each. Three.

The first Valentine's Day we ever had was back in 1998. That year, Derrald took me to Hard Rock Cafe (located in TST at that time) and gave me a single rose and a bear that said "Je t'aime" on the front. We were SO young. Fourteen years later we have come full circle. The weather was misty and rainy, just the way it was fourteen years ago.

Oh, and I still have the bear.
